The Life of Christ
Holy Land Study Tour
2010
This Spring we are headed back to taste the Word in the Land of the Book April 15-24, 2010, as we see the Life of Christ in a completely new and deeply moving way. For ten days, just 40 or so pilgrims will join John & Bonnie Barnett in the Holy Land. At each site we will pause to build an "altar" of worship as we read the passage, meditate on the truth of the Word, and then make a choice to right there respond to God. Each event especially in the Life of Christ, plus other key passages of God's Word, will become a "Memorial Stone" in our pilgrimage through life as God's servants.
Here are the key sites we will visit:
- The Dead Sea Region: Here we follow Christ's Temptation, John the Baptist's ministry, Abraham's life and faith, and also of David's life in the Psalms. Each event of these three lives in this area will be seen and studied. A two hour desert jeep ride (air conditioned and with comfortable seats of course) through the area of Zohar/Sodom and Abraham's Pnei Hver prayer place (Genesis 19) for Lot; Hebron and the Cave of the Patriarchs; and the Mount of Christ's Temptation (Matthew 4) will be the brand new highlights we add to Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran, and the Dead Sea rift areas as a part of these 2 1/2 days in the Dead Sea Region. Hotel: The Le Meridian Dead Sea
- The Jerusalem Region: Here we trace each part of Christ's time in Jerusalem looking at the actual places they took place. Among the most moving will be: His Birth and dedication at the Temple, His visit as a boy with the teachers, His baptism, Passover visits, His special teaching discourses (Light of the World, Good Shepherd, etc.), and sign miracles. Plus we will trace and pause to set up Memorial Stones in our hearts and Bibles at every event of His Final Passion Week of Triumphal Entry, Last Supper, Crucifixion, Death, Burial, and Resurrection. Many new spots including the quarry depths of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre will be part of this amazing 4 days in Jerusalem Region. There will be an afternoon free for personal exploration of two key sites of Christ's life quietly at your own pace. Hotel: The David Citadel Hotel
- The Galilee Region: Here we will carefully surround the places where Jesus most ministered in the Gospels with study, prayer and Memorial Stones in the Word. Key spots that are new will be: Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 16) where Peter confessed Christ, Tabgha of the Loaves and Fishes, Cana for all who want to renew their wedding vows in a special ceremony at the Church of Cana, the site of the First Sign Miracle in John 2, the Jesus Boat (an actual boat uncovered from the mud of the Sea of Galilee preserved perfectly for 2,000 years) and many other precious sites including Arbel, Capernaum, Hill of Beattitudes, Tiberius, Kursi, Jordan River baptism, Korazim, Bethsaida, Sun Rise cruise on the Sea of Galilee, and others as a part of these amazing 3 days in Galilee. Hotel:The Scot's Hotel

The cost for these nights includes breakfast and dinner and allow for extra days of quiet, slower paced personal visits to more of the most special city of Earth. Questions: Any questions we can answer if you send them via email to . We will have study classes, video lessons, and group meetings to especially prepare those who have never been to Israel. Again this is a special, small group, custom, deluxe tour. John & Bonnie will be a part of every day's activities and only allow one bus of pilgrims to share in this journey. There is space for just 40 pilgrims, so prayerfully plan to hold your spot as soon as you are able. A registration form will be available for download online in July.
